The situation

Petrolex Oil Gas Limited, a member of the integrated energy conglomerate, Petrolex Group, needed a management consulting agency to rejig its brand values, re-evaluate its unique selling proposition, strategise and implement an investor relations strategy, manage its events, increase its brand appreciation among stakeholders, promote its interest in the public domain through strategic use of the media and devise a holistic corporate communications strategy.

What we did

With our sister agency, Zenera Consulting, we took up the brief and executed in double quick time. During the launch of its ultra-modern tank farm in Ogun State, our team was tasked with event management and pre-event publicity which were all immaculately handled. Activities included:

  • Strategised and implemented a persona for the brand
  • Overhauled the brand’s values and strategy
  • Provided investor relations strategies and delivered presentations on behalf of the brand around the world
  • Solicited media support for the brand
  • Performed government relations for the company leading to the launch of its mega oil city
  • Firmed up the media presence of the company including the digital space
  • Revamped the digital presence of the company including the development of new websites
  • Organised a successful media tour of the company’s oil city ahead of its launch in 2017
  • Developed brand collaterals for the firm including brand manuals, factsheets, brochures, etc
  • Successfully averted numerous crises with proactive crisis communications deployment
  • Managed the brand’s advertising demands by conceptualising, designing and publishing various adverts for the company.


The holistic brand management has resulted in the expedited growth of the company and the attraction of numerous local and international investors to the company. The launch of its tank farm in 2017 was well attended by heads of governments and industry captains. Our activities over the years have catapulted the brand to the upper echelons of indigenous oil gas firms.
