CSR-in-Action Consulting Ltd., a 12-year-old CSR, governance and sustainability consulting boutique consultant firm whose teams work globally with enterprises to research and develop insights into building social and environmental acceptance, aligning company business objectives with community values and preparing communities for complex change, is searching for a vibrant part-time business development associate to support the drive awareness for our business in the Thunder Bay, ON, area.
The Associate will evaluate the company’s current offerings vis a vis the needs in Thunder Bay, ON, and its environs. They will support the development of new markets through selling the parent company, CSR-in-Action, existing offerings or variations of it.
The Associate will be responsible for analysing and improving sales based on CSR-in-Action offerings. With that in mind, the Associate shall evaluate any slowness in trade and proffer suggestions, opportunities and ideas to improve.
The ideal candidate will enhance our company’s competitiveness in the region by modifying and executing the right strategies at the right time. They will work under the direction of the President of the Canada Office remotely but will be required for physical meetings with the President or if requested by clients.
The candidate must be passionate about development, communities and inclusion, and be quick on their feet with effective solutions to the challenges that may face the company’s growth or opportunities that may be a source of revenue.
Eligibility: Canadian Permanent Residents and Citizens.
Job responsibilities
- Analyse the trends in the market and the company’s offerings and strategies to identify opportunities
- Report relevant findings from the strategies implemented and get them approved by the President
- Support the creation and presentation of new ideas to add value to our services
- Perform and present competitor analysis to identify areas where our company may surpass the industry’s competitors and forge ahead to gain market share
- Identify and evaluate new customers and lucrative business opportunities to increase the marketing campaign audience
- Make contributions to communication materials, including social media posts relating to Canada
- Support the search for new suitable partners – including for funding and grants – to increase the brand’s networking capabilities and reach
- Help with other duties as assigned.
Required Skills Set
- A good first degree – Bachelors or Diploma
- Preferably one year of experience in a similar role
